West Kilbride is a 45 – 60 minute drive from the Centre of Glasgow via the M8, A737 and B781 or 90 mins – 120 mins via the more scenic Clyde coastal route the M8, A78 through Greenock and Largs

West Kilbride is around 2 – 2 1/2 hours from the Scottish Border (bypassing Glasgow)

1) via A74M (take junction 8) , across South Ayrshire on the A71 via Strathven, Darvel, Newmilns and the Kilmarnock bypass; Them North along A78.
2) Via the Nithdale valley along the A75, A76 through Dumfries Sanquar, Cummnock, Mauchlie ; long the A71 bypassing Kilmarnock them North along the A78.

Air

Glasgow Airport and Glasgow Prestwick Airport both serve West Kilbride.

Glasgow Airport is 35 to 45 minutes drive from West Kilbride or 35 mins. by train via Paisley Gilmour Street Station
N.B. a transfer bus connects Glasgow Airport and Paisley Gilmour Station it runs every ten minutes.

Glasgow Prestwick is 25 to 35 mins drive from West Kilbride or 35 mins train journey changing at Kilwinning Station

Rail

West Kilbride is a 50 mins journey via the hourly service from Glasgow Central except during weekday morning or evening peak times.
