Eleanor McGowan,

Eleanor is a Scottish painter who lives and paints full time from her studio in Largs , Ayrshire .Her love of making marks is lifelong and she expresses her joy of painting through colour and texture. She is excited by the paint and loves to try different methods of working to express this. She paints mostly in oils and acrylics.

Because of family commitments her career was restricted to the local area until 1995. Her work since then, has been more widely exhibited. Eleanor is a member of the Paisley Arts Institute and the Glasgow Society for Women Artists. Her Paintings are held by many individuals worldwide and by several companies.

Eleanor’s subject matter is varied as her work ranges from landscapes to still life images and figurative work. She records in paint a diary of her life from images she wishes to express in her own style. Ideas feed and inform each other and reflect how she is feeling and reacting
